VIVA LA VIDA: Artist Retreat and Exhibition Celebrating Hispanic + Latinx/Latino Artists

Viva la Vida is an Artist Retreat and Group Art Exhibition created for the purpose of increasing visibility, cultural affirmation and in-community connections for Hispanic + Latinx/Latino identifying artists in a safe, supportive environment. The retreat will culminate with a group art show featuring the work of participating artists. The goal of Viva la Vida is to nourish, connect and platform Hispanic + Latinx/Latino identifying artists so they can be celebrated and given time and space to rest and create in a supportive space, free of expectation. Artists of all modalities are encouraged to apply.

Program Outline: This four-day event in Poulsbo, WA is for working artists in the Hispanic + Latinx/Latino community. Viva la Vida consists of an informally structured, self-guided retreat with optional workshop offerings, where the focus is on providing a safe, supportive environment where artists can rest, connect, and show their work without financial burden or external expectations. The retreat centers artists’ well-being while fostering meaningful relationships across disciplines. Viva la Vida culminates with a group art show open to the public.

Eligible Disciplines: Hispanic + Latinx/Latino artists of all disciplines

Retreat Duration: October 15-19, 2026. The group art show will take place on Sunday, October 18th.

Cost: No fee is required to participate in Viva la Vida. Donations are always welcome.
